Key Functions:
Provide pastoral leadership for all of Children’s Ministry
Oversee development of Children’s Ministry Team, recruitment, training and communications
o Implement recruitment strategies
o Recruit volunteers
o Determine and schedule training events
o Equip volunteers for Sunday Small Group and Weeknight studies
o Establish final schedule for volunteers
o Encourage volunteer base (weekly thank you cards, events, etc.) Accountable for Children’s Programs, curriculum and philosophy
o Creation of vision casting materials for volunteers
o Determine scope and sequence to for all ages Birth-6th.
o Review early childhood curriculum and adjust when needed
o Attend curriculum writing meetings and activities
o Divide classes and resources according to age appropriate Sunday Small Groups
o Participate with the digital creation of Sunday Small Group curriculum over the internet (children grade k-6th )
o Review all Sunday Small Group material for all levels to verify doctrinal issues, age appropriateness, and consistency
o Set up Sunday Small Groups, materials and Signs
o Tear down Sunday Small Groups, materials and Door Signs Develop Family Ministry
o Meet with families concerning family based issues
o Create family based materials (Baptism family study guide, etc.)
o Creation of family based vision casting materials (monthly videos, written materials, etc)
o Attend and oversee family team meetings and rehearsals
