I know there are many programs available that provide a secure check-in for parents and their children. We've been doing the basic numbered name tag thing for years and are looking to upgrade to something that can possibly track attendance, record contact/food allergy info, and makes sign-in/out quick and easy. I would greatly appreciate any recommendations.

We've used Youth Assistant for a couple years now. You can check it out at youthassistant.com. The main thing I like about it is you can use a hand held or wireless scanner to check in/out. There are bigger and fancier programs out there but this one has met our needs. It's not just for youth ministry but children as well. Don't let the name discourage you.
