If you’re a ministry leader, when was the last time you spent a significant amount of time strategically preparing for the future of your ministry? In an average month, how much time do you spend responding to the situations at hand (i.e. putting out fires) versus planning for the future?
Consider the impact on your ministry if you spent a small amount of time at the beginning of every month (or week or day) strategically planning for what’s coming toward you. What problems might you foresee within your staff? What flaws in logistics or processes might you recognize before they become problems? What could you do to more actively engage parents? Volunteers?
